Bosnia: British company to invest 3.2 mln in Srebrenica mine

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 10 APR - The British company Mineco is planning to invest around 3.2 million euros in the development of a lead and zinc mine near Srebrenica, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the specialized portal SeeNews informed today. "The investments will be focused on equipment and facility improvements as well as on the development of project documentation and mining preparatory works," SeeNews said, quoting an emailed statement from Mineco. The company aims to this year to 356,000 tons of ore, the same as in 2018, the portal added. Mineco invested so far in the area more than 21 million euros. The company was established in 2003 and employs currently some 2,000 people in eight European countries, according to its official website. It operates several other mines in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. (ANSA).
