(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 06 NOV - Colder temperatures across Europe are contributing to the continued depletion of natural gas reserves. In just three days, the EU has lost nearly 1%, falling from 74.56% to 73.75%—equivalent to 835.1 TWh. Stocks in Germany have fallen from 61.05% to 60.25% (149.02 TWh), while in Italy they have dropped from 91% to 90.08% (183.24 TWh), the highest figure among all European nations. Meanwhile, natural gas prices on the Dutch TTF exchange in Amsterdam fell 2.96% to 88 euros per MWh. In Asia, however, LNG (liquefied natural gas) prices have risen to 32 dollars per million British thermal units (Btu), a level close to the highs seen since 2022, owing in part to continued restrictions on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. This equates to 97.24 euros per megawatt-hour. (ANSA).
