(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 03 NOV - Marko Kričak, the head of Serbia's Criminal Police Directorate, and Boško Sekulović, the head of the department for the suppression of crime, were arrested in Belgrade on Sunday and are being investigated for abuse of office. Kričak is also facing allegations of mistreatment. They have been placed in pre-trial detention for up to 30 days. A pre-trial judge at the Belgrade High Court made the decision after receiving a request from the Belgrade Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT), which had previously ordered their arrest. In making this decision, the judge cited the risk of evidence tampering and the possibility of influencing witnesses. (ANSA).
