(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 20 - Heat-related deaths have reached 14,000 in Germany since the beginning of the year, according to the Robert Koch Institute. The toll is as of August 9th. This figure, in the past seven months of 2026, exceeds the total number of heat-related deaths in any previous year. Until now, the record had been reached in 2018, with approximately 9,000 deaths.
