(ANSA-AFP) - BRATISLAVA, AUG 5 - Slovakia on Wednesday recorded an all-time temperature high of 41.4C, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMU) said in a statement sent to AFP, as a heatwave gripped central Europe. The record was measured in the village of Kamenica nad Hronom in southwestern Slovakia, beating a previous high of 41.3 set in the same village on June 30, 2026, the agency said. (ANSA-AFP).
