(ANSA) - VILNIUS, JUL 23 - The energy ministers of Latvia (Janis Vitenbergs), Estonia (Andres Sutt), and Lithuania (Lukas Savickas) signed an agreement today to establish joint energy reserves that will enable the rapid restoration of electricity supply to residents and businesses in the event of disruptions. The three ministers emphasized that, after disconnecting from the Russian power grid and successfully synchronizing with the continental European grid, the Baltic countries are facing new challenges that require unified action and greater regional cooperation to protect and optimize critical infrastructure. According to the three politicians, the creation of joint energy reserves and greater regional coordination will enable the Baltic states not only to overcome potential incidents but also to protect the region's energy infrastructure more effectively.
