
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 7 - The National Electoral Commission (DVK) officially certified the final results of Slovenia's general election today after dismissing a formal complaint filed by the Democratic Party (SDS). Slovenian news agency STA reports that President Nataša Pirc Musar will convene the newly elected National Assembly's inaugural session on Friday. The centre-left Freedom Movement, which was the ruling party in the 2022-2026 term, won the most mandates in the 90-member National Assembly on March 22, with 29 seats, followed by the SDS with 28. The three-party centre-right alliance of New Slovenia (NSi), Slovenian People's Party (SLS), and Focus won nine seats. The Social Democrats (SD) and Democrats led by former SDS member Anže Logar won six seats each, while the joint Left and Vesna list, as well as the anti-establishment Truth, won five. (ANSA).
