(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 20 - The latest poll before Sunday's general election in Slovenia, conducted by the Mediana agency for Pop TV, RTV Slovenia, and the newspaper Delo, shows the Freedom Movement (GS), outgoing Prime Minister Robert Golob's liberal-democratic and pro-European party, with a slight lead. Golob appears to have recovered from his initial lead over the conservative and nationalist Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), led by opposition leader and three-time former prime minister Janez Janša, who openly admires Trump. The two parties are expected to get 18.9% and 18.5% of the votes, respectively. The survey found five political parties capable of crossing the 4% threshold: the Christian-conservative joint list of New Slovenia, People's Party, and Focus (6%), the Social Democrats and Democrats led by Anže Logar, both with 5.8 percentage points, the joint list of Levica/Left and Vesna, 5.5%, and finally the Resnica/Truth party, at 4.2%, the only real party that, according to all polls, is walking a knife-edge to enter parliament.
