Vienna hub for Moscow's espionage on the EU and NATO: FT

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 18 - Russia has targeted NATO state and military communications through satellite dishes installed at its embassy in Vienna, according to the Financial Times' European edition, quoting a diplomat who described the Austrian capital as "one of the most important hubs for Russian operations in Europe," emphasising that Moscow is targeting not only European communications but also those from the Middle East and Africa. According to the financial newspaper, numerous satellite dishes emerge from the Russian embassy's roofs, which are not intended for normal diplomatic communications. Many do not appear to be orientated eastward and are frequently repositioned, implying that they are being used to track multiple satellites. (ANSA).
