US decision on Russian oil affects European security: EU

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 13 - "The unilateral US decision to lift sanctions on Russian oil exports is extremely concerning because it threatens European security. Increasing economic pressure on Russia is critical for it to agree to begin serious negotiations for a just and long-term peace. The weakening of sanctions increases Russia's ability to wage an aggressive war against Ukraine," wrote European Council President Antonio Costa in X. (ANSA).
