
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 9 - The Central European Initiative's (CEI) 30th anniversary conference will be held at Trieste's Generali Convention Centre on Tuesday morning, March 17. The Generali Convention Centre will host a Forum on the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC) that afternoon. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, is scheduled to attend both events. The CEI Executive Secretariat is organising the CEI's 30th anniversary in collaboration with the Institute of International Affairs (IAI). The celebrations will include a plenary session from 10:30 to 11:15, with remarks from Minister Antonio Tajani, CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region Massimiliano Fedriga, and IAI President Ambassador Michele Valensise, as well as the OSCE. The proceedings will continue with two thematic panels, one on strategic cooperation in Europe and the other on connectivity in the CEI's geographic area of interest. The proceedings will end around 1:30 p.m., following the final session. Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu, in her capacity as CEI President-in-Office, is expected to attend, along with state and regional authorities and civil society representatives (universities and research centres, businesses and trade associations, among others).
