Serbia bans exports of petroleum and petroleum derivatives for automobiles

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 9 - In an effort to protect the domestic market from shortages and price increases, the Serbian government decided in its extraordinary session this morning to prohibit the export of petroleum and all petroleum derivatives for motor vehicles until March 19. The ban covers the export of diesel, petrol and crude oil for transportation vehicles. Dubravka Djedović Handanović, Minister of Mines and Energy, stated that the ban aims to prevent domestic market shortages and price spikes caused by global market disruptions. (ANSA).
