Greece deploys two frigates and two F-16s to defend Cyprus

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAR 2 - Greece will send two frigates and two F-16 fighter jets to Cyprus in response to growing security concerns on the Mediterranean island, Defence Minister Nikos Dendias announced, according to Greek media. "Following the unprovoked attacks on Cyprus' territory, Greece will contribute in every way possible to the defence of the Republic of Cyprus, in order to address the threats and illegal actions taking place on its territory," Dendias stated. (ANSA).
