Belgrade creates government team to coordinate EU integration efforts

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 28 - According to Tanjug, the Serbian government has formed an operational team to coordinate the implementation of all commitments made by Serbia on the path to EU integration as soon as possible. Danijel Apostolović, head of the Serbian Mission to the EU, will lead a team of 10 state officials, including several ministers, as per yesterday's official gazette announcement. Serbia's Minister for European Integration, Finance Minister Siniša Mali, Justice Minister Nenad Vujić, Agriculture Minister Dragan Glamočić, Interior Minister Ivica Dačić, Parliament Speaker Ana Brnačić, Presidential Advisor Tatjana Jović, Prime Ministerial Advisor Nemanja Diković, and Kosovo Mediator Petar Petković are among those on the list. Following the launch of this new body, Serbian President Vučić emphasized that "this is not a farce, but a step forward aimed at accelerating Serbia's integration into the EU." (ANSA).
