Man arrested for threatening to kill Merkel and Scholz

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 11 - The German Federal Prosecutor's Office arrested a man in Dortmund for planning an attack on prominent German politicians. Martin S., a German and Polish citizen, was active on the dark web to fund his plans. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the man has been naming and gathering sensitive personal information about potential victims since at least June 2025, with twenty politicians believed to have been targeted. He pronounced the death sentence and gave instructions for making explosive devices. He then solicited cryptocurrency donations as a "reward" for killing the targeted individuals. (ANSA).
