Greece and the US united by common energy goals: PM

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, NOV 7 - "Europe will require natural gas for many, many years to come (...). It makes perfect sense for the United States to consider Greece as an entry point for its gas, in order to meet the energy needs of an entire region." Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated this during his speech at the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC) conference, which is currently taking place in Athens. Yesterday, at an event aimed at strengthening energy cooperation between Greece and the United States, ExxonMobil announced the formation of a joint venture with Energean and Helleniq Energy for offshore gas exploration in the Ionian Sea, northwest of the Greek island of Corfu.
