(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, OCT 25 - Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico negotiated with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán the entry of his party, SMER, into the European family of Patriots for Europe during the last European Council. Accordign to the Slovak press, Orbán's advisor Balázs Orbán told Euronews. SMER was expelled from the Socialist family a week ago at the Congress of the European Socialist Party held in Amsterdam. "There are ongoing consultations between the two prime ministers. The goal could be an Orbán-Fico-Babiš axis in Europe," said the Orbán advisor. "From our side, the door is open. Robert Fico and his party will have to decide. He comes from a leftist background, but a sovereignist approach prevails in his party. We will see how they decide," Balázs Orbán concluded. (ANSA).
