Western Balkans in the EU to strengthen Europe: Tajani

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 24 - "European integration is an incomplete project without the'reunification' of the Western Balkans region with the European family: their entry into the EU will strengthen Europe as a whole," said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, emphasising that "the Italian government gives the Western Balkans the highest priority." "I have stated several times that their European integration process will be the most important strategic investment for the Union," Tajani said. As part of the 80th UN General Assembly's High-Level Week, he organised and presided over a new meeting of the Western Balkans' Foreign Ministers and the "Friends of the Western Balkans" group, which included ministers and representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
