(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 10 - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni welcomed Moldovan President Maia Sandu to Palazzo Chigi. According to a statement of Meloni's office, the meeting focused on Moldova's European prospects as well as the most recent developments in Russian aggression against Ukraine. They specifically condemned the massive attacks of recent days, which also violated Polish airspace last night. Meloni also "reaffirmed Italy's full support for Chisinau," as evidenced by the recent conclusion of bilateral agreements on social security and driving licence recognition. (ANSA).
