(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 19 - "The interruption of oil transport through the Friendship (Druzhba) pipeline is causing some problems, but the country's supply is not at risk" because "we have alternatives to Russian oil," Laszlo Miklos, director of foreign relations for Hungarian oil company Mol, told the Nepszava newspaper in response to the Ukrainian attack on the pipeline's pumping station. His remarks were in response to Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto's statements, in which he described the attack as "unacceptable and outrageous," and declared that Hungary's energy security was jeopardised. Mol, which supplies the entire country with petroleum products, relies on cheap Russian oil but also buys foreign oil via the Adria pipeline, which runs through Croatia. The Adria pipeline has enough capacity to replace the Druzhba pipeline. (ANSA).
