Slovenia, irregular migration halved in first seven months

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 19 - The number of illegal border crossings detected by Slovenian police in the first seven months of the year has more than halved compared to the same period last year, totalling 12,458, according to Slovenian news agency STA. The police most frequently intercepted Afghan, Egyptian, and Moroccan citizens, but the number of Afghan citizens apprehended crossing the border illegally in this period was 1,533, a 59% decrease from the same period last year.
