(ANSA) - SARAJEVO, AUG 17 - Forty-seven Israeli tourists were stranded in Bosnia-Herzegovina after their passports were accidentally thrown into a wastebasket at the reception desk of a Sarajevo hotel. As it turned out, the tour group was scheduled to return to Israel on August 16, but they were unable to board the plane without documents. They will now have to stay at the hotel until the Israeli embassy in Sarajevo completes the procedures for issuing new passports. The hotel in question has decided to extend the stay of Israeli tourists left without passports free of charge. Bosnian police confirmed the incident, adding that an investigation is under way to find out how the Israeli tourists' passports ended up in the trash. (ANSA).
