
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 11 - Francesco Talò, the Italian government's Special Envoy for Imec, stated that India is an important market and producer in the Imec corridor project during an interview with PTI news agency. "The initiative focusses on goods, energy, and connectivity, and the country is proving to be a key player in all three areas," he said. Talò attended the first meeting of the initiative's partner countries in India. The agreement was signed in September 2023 during the G20 summit in Delhi. During an interview at the Italian Embassy in New Delhi, Talò emphasised the significance of the project and highlighted Trieste's potential as a natural gateway in Europe to connect the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean.
