(ANSA) - ROME, 09 AGO - Over six thousand participants are expected to attend the 34th edition of the Karpacz Economic Forum (Poland), known as the Davos of the East, the most important conference in Central and Eastern Europe, scheduled for 2-4 September. The theme of this year's event - organised by the Institute for Oriental Studies Foundation, in collaboration with the Office of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship - is "The time of transformation: what will the Europe of the future look like?". For over 30 years, the Economic Forum has been hosting leaders from the worlds of politics, economics and academia, as well as representatives of non-governmental organisations and the cultural sector. The conference programme includes over 500 events, including six plenary sessions and hundreds of round tables, dozens of meetings with authors and special events, workshops and numerous press conferences. The events will be organised according to the following themes: Artificial Intelligence Forum, Cybersecurity Forum, Health Forum, Regions Forum, University Zone, Economy, International Politics and Security, Society, Sustainable Development. As per tradition, the 2025 edition of the Forum will begin with the presentation of the Report on the State of the Economy in Poland and Central and Eastern European Countries, a scientific study prepared by the organising body together with the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). The report describes current trends and socio-economic phenomena, enabling leaders from various sectors of the economy and politics to make the most important decisions. The most solemn moments of the Economic Forum are the gala events, during which awards are presented in the following categories: Person of the Year, Company of the Year and Non-Governmental Organisation of the Year.
