No Borders wraps up: 30,000 gathered for borderless music

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 04 AGO - The 30th edition of the No Borders Music Festival concluded yesterday, attracting 30,000 attendees over five shows in the Tarvisio area. From July 19 onwards, the Fusine Lakes hosted world-class artists, including Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Mika, Jovanotti, Lucio Corsi, I Patagarri, Goran Bregović, and Kings of Convenience. This boundary-free festival generated 100 million views across television, social media, and other platforms, resulting in an economic impact of €8 million for the Tarvisio region. "This year's festival was truly extraordinary," said Gabriele Massarutto, president of the Tarvisio Tourism Promotion Consortium. "Reaching thirty years of the No Borders Music Festival is a major milestone. We've achieved outstanding results—not only in terms of the musical lineup, which featured artists from around the world and a consistently growing, coherent program—but also from a tourism perspective. People travel to Tarvisio from all over Italy and beyond. For Jovanotti's concert alone, 90% of the tickets were sold to people from outside the region,a trend that was also observed at many other showsl. No Borders is not just a cultural project; it also enhances the local area and fosters visitor loyalty. Key to this success was the collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, PromoTurismo, the Municipality of Tarvisio, and all our sponsors." The No Borders Music Festival is also recognized as a sustainable event, promoting the preservation and protection of Tarvisio's natural environment through concrete actions such as recycling initiatives, plastic-free policies, and certifications acknowledged at the European level. For years, the festival has encouraged concertgoers to reach the venues by bike or on foot, and this year marked the debut of the first "bike concert"—a project envisioned years ago that came to life during Jovanotti's performance.
