(ANSA) - TRIESTE, JUL 18 - The mayor of Trieste, Roberto Dipiazza, received today the mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković, accompanied by the general manager of Javni Holding Ljubljana, a wastewater treatment and waste management company, Krištof Mlakar, in the City Hall. Dipiazza presented to Janković the regeneration project of Porto Vecchio-Porto Vivo, on the outskirts of the city. According to the municipality, the guests also showed interest in the operation of Trieste's sewage treatment plant. "The extraordinary evolution of the purification system of Trieste led us to an important recognition by Arera, a milestone of great importance for our community," Dipiazza said. "The entire purification network, in particular, the Servola purification plant, has made a significant leap in recent years, both from a technological point of view and in terms of sustainable management. A result achieved thanks to the collaboration with the Hera Group and AcegasApsAmga." After the meeting at City Hall, Dipiazza accompanied Janković and Mlakar on a tour of Porto Vecchio-Porto Vivo and then to the Servola waste-to-energy plant. (ANSA).
