(ANSA) - BRUXELLES, JUL 1 - Budapest Pride was "a very powerful and visible demonstration of solidarity with the Lgbt community" and "an organic reaction of civil society and ordinary people supported by international stakeholders, there was no orchestration by the EU." This was said by EU Justice Commissioner Michael McGrath in an interview with the pool of European news agencies gathered in the European Newsroom, including ANSA. As for the "legal consequences" threatened by Budapest, the Commission asked for clarification on "some aspects of the law" that banned Pride. "We await the answer and will decide on the next steps."
