
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 15 GIU - In Serbia, the municipal electoral commission in Zajecar (east) has rejected all 78 appeals lodged by the opposition over alleged irregularities in the local elections held on June 8 and won by President Aleksandar Vucic's conservative Serbian Progress Party (Sns). Breaking the news, President of the Local Election Commission Nenad Dinulovic said that 71 appeals were rejected on the grounds of insufficient arguments, the other seven because they were deemed unfounded. The oppositions, he added, have 72 hours to file a further appeal against the decision in court. (ANSA).
