
(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 30 - Slovenia will join the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) on June 22nd, with an official ceremony scheduled for July 3rd in Geneva, according to Slovenian news agency STA and State Secretary Jure Gašparič of the Slovenian Science and Innovation Ministry. Slovenia will be able to participate in the organization's management decisions once it becomes a full member. On July 3, a ceremony will be held in Geneva, with the Slovenian flag flying in front of the CERN building. "Full membership affirms and at the same time strengthens Slovenia's reputation as a serious country that has put the path of knowledge and science-based development among its strategic, long-term goals," Gašparič said, quoted by STA.
