(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 12 - Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's socialists are expected to win a landslide victory in yesterday's political elections in Albania, according to preliminary data. The centre-left won 83 of the 140 seats in the Albanian parliament, or 9 seats more than the current ones. And it is the best result ever achieved after three consecutive terms at the helm of the country. The centre-right opposition, led by former President of the Republic and two-time Prime Minister Sali Berisha, has lost 12 seats, dropping to 51 deputies, according to the most recent data. The remaining three seats were shared between three new political forces. (ANSA).
