Serbia, Vucic calls for intervention to free public TV RTS

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 24 - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has called for police intervention to quell the unrest among students who have been blocking Serbian public television RTS's headquarters in Belgrade for ten days. "What is occurring at RTS is an unprecedented crime. Not because I particularly appreciate or respect RTS's activities; rather, because for ten days, people have been barred from entering and exiting the building, from purchasing food and beverages, and from working and carrying out their activities. And all of this with the help of some non-governmental organisations," Vucic told private TV Pink. (ANSA).
