(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 24 - Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis paid a visit to the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection to get an update on the state's preparations for the new fire season, which begins in Greece on May 1, according to state broadcaster ERT. "We have to acknowledge that when it comes to the climate crisis, the worst is yet to come, and we must be prepared to face the worst-case scenarios. "The climate crisis is already here, with hotter and drier summers, which favour the spread of fires," the prime minister declared, adding: "This year we have the highest number of firefighters."
