CEI crucial in guiding the Balkans towards the EU

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APR 16 - "Strengthening the relationship between the CEI and the European Union is essential to accompany our member countries, particularly those of the Western Balkans, along the path of European integration," said the Secretary General of the CEI, Franco Dal Mas, at the meeting of the Committee of National Coordinators of the CEI member countries, held in Brussels under the Presidency of Serbia 2025. "The CEI confirms itself as a platform for strategic dialogue, capable of generating concrete and inclusive cooperation, as Minister Antonio Tajani stated in his recent visit to the CEI Secretariat in Trieste," Dal Mas said. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the CEI and European institutions, with a focus on the Organization's role in the process of European integration. The CEI's concrete actions include the Falcone-Borsellino project, which promotes legal diplomacy, and the Trieste-Belgrade railway corridor project. (ANSA).
