(ANSA-AFP) - BERLIN, 19 MAR - Germany said Wednesday that the detention of Istanbul's powerful Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu as part of a corruption probe was a "serious setback for democracy" in Turkey. Foreign ministry spokesman Sebastian Fischer said the arrest was part of a series of "intensified legal measures to put pressure" on Imamoglu, who is widely seen as the strongest challenger to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
