
(ANSA) - TRIESTE, FEB 28 - Slovenian police handled 1,170 irregular border crossings in January, which is one-third of the figure recorded in the same month last year, according to Slovenian news agency STA, citing official data. The majority of cases involved Afghan, Moroccan, and Bangladeshi citizens, with the number of Syrians intercepted falling from 1,774 to 89 year on year, and Afghan nationals almost halving to 151.
