Ministerial meeting with the Western Balkans in Rome tomorrow

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 9 - The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will preside over the ministerial meeting with the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) and the "Friends of the Western Balkans" Group (Italy, Austria, Croatia, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia) tomorrow, Feb. 10, at Villa Madama. The meeting will also be attended by EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos, with whom Tajani will have bilateral meetings to accelerate the EU agenda in the Balkan integration process. Tomorrow's meeting aims to strengthen coordination on the goals and priorities to be pursued in 2025 on cooperation with the Western Balkans to promote security in the region and the acceleration of the EU integration process. "The stability of the Western Balkans is a priority of the Italian government," Tajani said. (ANSA).
