5-6% of GDP in defence is what is needed: Kubilius

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 22 - "In the coming years, Lithuania plans to allocate 5-6% of its GDP to defence. I am Lithuanian, so I am biassed, but I believe this is what we need: Russia spends 9% of its GDP," said Andrius Kubilius, European Commissioner for Defence and Space, emphasising that the financial aspect "cannot reduce" Europe's defence commitment.
