Slovenia, significant decline in migrant entries in 2024

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 14 - Slovenian police reported 46,192 illegal border crossings in 2024, a nearly 14,500 decrease from 2023, according to the Slovenian news agency STA. Syrian nationals made up the largest share, quadrupling in number year-on-year to account for a quarter of all cases. Afghans ranked second, but their numbers had halved since 2023. (ANSA).
