Unesco, Lipizzaner horse breeding joins heritage list

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 1 - The breeding of Lipizzaner horses gets Unesco recognition. ANSA found this by attending the 17th session of the Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage in Rabat, Morocco, until tomorrow and chaired by Italian Pier Luigi Petrillo. The recognition of the Lipizzaner horses, Unesco underlined, is a nomination multinational that gives light to a very ancient but still alive that unites different peoples with a shared cultural identity connected to the love of animals. In the hall, among the participants, was the Italian ambassador to Unesco, Massimo Riccardo. Great applause welcomed the recognition. (ANSA).
