Empowering vocational education and training: impacts of internationalisation and student mobility in Western Balkans

What are the benefits of investing in internationalisation and student mobility? This was the main topic of discussion at the CEI Headquarters on 12 December, during the international conference organised by ENAIP NET - an Italian Consortium that offers professional training and placement services - in the framework of the MoVET (Mobility for VET in Europe) project.

This event served as an opportunity to present the outcomes of the activities implemented within the project focusing on vocational education and training (VET)  in the Western Balkans, and provided insights into the state of art of the internationalisation programme in VET centres in the area. Participants also engaged in discussions about necessary improvements to be applied to mobility schemes and in this setting, the CEI-ES showcased its activities in the youth sector and highlighted the funding opportunities provided by the CEI funds.

MoVET-  financed by the European Commission under the Second pilot mobility scheme for Western Balkans  EAC/S54/2019 - aims to contribute to the overall objective of the call by interpreting its mandate as an action for capacity building, upskilling and networking. The goal is to support the internationalisation of the VET systems in Western Balkans countries and to enhance  and modernise them. It also contributes to reinforcing the links between VET and the Labour market. This is achieved by organising mobility activities to improve the skills of VET staff and learners, as well as the occupational prospects of young VET students.

Under the coordination of ENAIP NET, the CEI-ES participates in the project as associated institution.
