The last meeting of the Committee of National Coordinators (CNC) under the Hungarian CEI Presidency 2013 was held in Budapest on 16 December 2013. On that occasion, the participants took stock of the numerous activities and events, which organised both by the Presidency and the CEI Secretariat throughout the year. The main results achieved, in particular those concerning the revisiting of the Business Dimension, the adoption of the new CEI Plan of Action 2014-2016, the elections in the CEI Parliamentary Dimension, matters regarding the CEI Civil Society Network and the Budget, were highlighted. In this context, all Member States and the Secretary General thanked Hungary for the extraordinary commitment and dedication which made the year 2013 a great success for the CEI.
The CNC approved 27 Cooperation Activities with 181.140,50 EUR or 12% of the total cost of the projects amounting to 1.5 million EUR.
Finally, the CNC was informed on the priorities as well as on the planned activities and events under the Austrian CEI Presidency 2014. The next CNC meeting will be held on 23 January 2014 in Vienna, back to back with a conference “CEI as a Bridge between European (Macro-) Regions / Synergies with International Organisations” to be held on 24 January 2014.
