Recovery: EU may extend the evaluation of Hungary's plan

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 12 LUG - "The EU Commission has not yet completed the assessment of the Hungarian national recovery and resilience plan" and "if the examination takes more weeks rather than days, the Commission will propose to Hungary an extension" of the time of evaluation, exceeding the two months provided for by the regulation. An EU spokeswoman said, talking to journalists. The deadline for the approval of the plan, submitted by Budapest on May 12, was scheduled for today, but according to Brussels, some issues are still to be resolved, linked to the correct use of EU funds. "The goal remains to deliver a judgment as soon as possible," the spokesperson added. (ANSA).
