Hungary: flash estimate, GDP up 5.3% in Q1 2019

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 15 MAG - The gross domestic product in Hungary increased by 5.3% according to raw data and by 5.2% according to seasonally and calendar adjusted data in the 1st quarter of 2019, compared to the same period of 2018, the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a flash estimate today. The GDP grew by 1.5% quarter on quarter, KSH added. The main contributors to the growth were industry, construction and market-based services, the statistical office said. The growth rate was over the 5.1% estimate of analysts interviewed by the business news site Portfolio.hu, the specialised portal Budapest Business Journal informed. (ANSA).
