(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUG 12 - Estonia has received its first payment of €351.6 million from Safe, the European defence loan facility. The European Commission announced the payment, stating that it represents 15% of the total €2.3 billion allocated to Tallinn. According to Brussels, the pre-financing will enable Estonia to "accelerate priority defence investments, strengthen resilience, and modernise its military capabilities," which aligns with common European goals.
