Mittelyoung's winning shows arrive from Slovenia, Czechia, Switzerland

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, MAY 18 - Chuck my life (Czech Republic) for theater/circus, Nove stare zgodbe (Slovenia) for music, and Adam's Apple (Switzerland) for dance are the three winning shows from the sixth edition of Mittelyoung which will be performed at Mittelfest from July 16th to 26th in Cividale del Friuli. The winning shows explore fear, the theme chosen by Mittelfest artistic director Giacomo Pedini for the 35th edition of the festival. Czech artist Arman Kupelyan brought loneliness and the most fragile and raw aspects of the human condition to the stage, the Duplina duo evoked the allure of oral tradition and folk music, while the dance company Company Creama humorously celebrated the courage of women in overcoming the fear of being seen, judged, and exposed. Nine shows were performed, and 238 submissions were received from 28 countries. "Six editions have transformed Mittelyoung: born as a bet, it has now become a true festival infrastructure," Pedini said. "Today, Mittelfest boasts a deep-rooted international scouting system, built on hundreds of relationships, making it a recognized hub for European under-30s in the live entertainment industry. Cividale has become a must-visit stop for artists of different backgrounds and training, a place to meet and compare notes, a real wealth to be bequeathed to the Mittelfest of the future." (ANSA).
