Deadlock over president of parliament continues in Kosovo

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 31 - In Kosovo, the deadlock over the election of the new parliament's president continues. Today, the chamber rejected the governing party Vetevendosje's (Self-determination) proposal to vote by secret ballot. Today marked the 24th unsuccessful attempt to elect the president of the Assembly since April 15, when the first constituent session of the parliament was held following the February 9 vote. (ANSA).
