Pmp Industries to build a production plant in Rep.Srpska

(ANSA) - UDINE, 31 MAG - UDINE, May 30 ANSA - An agreement for the 'greenfield' building of a new production plant with an integrated foundry in the municipality of Laktaši (BiH) was signed in Coseano (Udine) between the Friuli-based Pmp Industries group, which manufactures integrated electric and hydraulic drive mechanical transmission systems for industrial vehicles, and the authorities of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republika Srpska). Pmp disclosed that the transaction, worth 37 million euros, "is part of the plan launched in 2019 to reorganize the group's production chains, which envisages the reshoring in Europe of some processing, so far carried out in the Far East." "In Bosnia, we have been present since 2006," explained Luigino Pozzo, founder, and president of the group, "when we participated in the privatization of a company in the municipality of Gradiška, which was then 100 percent also acquired thanks to the collaboration with Finest." Also, under a well-established cooperative relationship between Pmp and the local authorities, the company organized a mission to FVG these days of the government of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia, with a delegation led by Prime Minister Radovan Višković and comprising, among others, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Vojin Mitrović. As a result, the new plant in Laktaši will stand on an area of 92 thousand square meters, for the purchase of which the agreement with the municipality was made official in Coseano. FVG Councillor for Production Activities Sergio Emidio Bini also visited the Pmp Industries plant, accompanied by President Pozzo and the Srpska delegation. "Pozzo is a self-made industrialist," Bini said on the sidelines, "creating an important group with a vocation for internationalization," and the region "is close to those who choose to invest in FVG, guaranteeing significant employment spin-offs in the territory."
