The CEI joins the many around the world mourning the loss of Pope Francis, an authoritative voice of our time, who, until the very end, bore witness to a pontificate committed to addressing imbalances and inequalities in the pursuit of justice and peace among peoples.
Today, may his teachings - addressed to people of all faiths and from every corner of the world - not fall into oblivion, but instead rise as a solemn warning calling for an end to ongoing conflicts and pointing the way toward collaboration among peoples and nations in the current shifting geopolitical landscape.

L’InCE si unisce ai tanti nel mondo che perdono una voce autorevole dei nostri tempi che ha testimoniato sino alla fine un pontificato impegnato a correggere squilibri e diseguaglianze alla ricerca di soluzioni di giustizia e pace tra i popoli.
Oggi il suo insegnamento, rivolto alle persone di tutte le fedi e in ogni angolo del mondo, non cada nel vuoto ma si erga a severo monito per la cessazione dei conflitti in atto e ad indicare la via della collaborazione tra le genti e le nazioni negli attuali cangianti scenari geopolitici.
