CEI Secretary General Amb. Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri Meets Hungarian Foreign Minister János Martonyi in Budapest

The new CEI Secretary General Amb. Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri met Hungarian Foreign Minister János Martonyi in Budapest on Tuesday, 9 April 2013.

Ambassador Caracciolo expressed his appreciation for the especially "rich and creative presidential programme and calendar of events" of the Hungarian CEI Presidency of 2013, which includes 35 events altogether. From July 2013 Hungary will also take over the Presidency of the Visegrad Four Group, a series of joint CEI-V4 programmes will be organised in the second half of the year. The Secretary General also had a meeting with  Dr Richárd Hörcsik, President of the CEI Parliamentary Dimension, as he is the Head of the Hungarian Parliamentary delegation to the CEI.

The CEI Secretary-General is participating today, 10 April 2013, in the CEI Chamber Network Economic Forum, organised by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Forum includes a meeting of the Chambers of Commerce from the CEI member countries as well as business to business meetings of SMEs. The event is linked to the process of renewing the CEI Business Dimension, also supported by the Hungarian Presidency, which envisages a “two-pillar approach”: one focused on SMEs and another on large industries.
