7 Projects Approved under KEP AUSTRIA Programme

7 Projects have recently been approved within the call for proposals launched by the KEP AUSTRIA Programme with a total CEI grant of 200.000.

The total cost of the projects, covering a variety of areas (e.g. EU integration training, agricultural and rural development, feasibility studies for biomass power plants and animal waste disposal), amounts to EUR 460.000.

Among the 44 applications received by the CEI Secretariat, the highest number of applications were submitted by Austria, Bulgaria and Italy with beneficiaries mostly from Albania, Macedonia, Moldova and Serbia.

Funded by Austria, through the Austrian Development Cooperation, the KEP AUSTRIA Programme is part of CEI Know-how Exchange Programme which aims at promoting capacity building and technical assistance from CEI EU to CEI non-EU Member States. Originally financed by Italy alone, the programme was expanded in 2008 by an agreement with Austrian Development Agency.
